ABOUT GREG

Greg's career in lighting started in 1995 when he took a part-time job in a local theatre in his home town of Rickmansworth in the UK.
He soon became a full-time member of the technical team. Being a theatre technician, Greg worked as an all-rounder gaining experience
with stage management, film projection, sound engineering and of course lighting. Within the space of a few months his interest in lighting started to show
and he was soon solely looking after the lighting department and became the programmer and operator for all shows in the theatre.
Greg worked as head of the theatre’s lighting department for three years.

As anyone who is goal-orientated and looking to further their career, he felt the need to move on to bigger and better things when he reached a stage where he felt he could no longer
gain anymore experience where he was. Greg moved to a larger scale venue (The Colosseum) in Watford which purely hosted up-and-coming bands.
His time as chief lighting engineer at the Colosseum enabled him to gain experience working alongside big name acts, such as "Oasis” and ”The Who”, working at a level that promoted his growth of knowledge, experience and professionalism. After two years at the Colosseum Greg was asked to join his first tour, with blues legends “John Mayall” and “Peter Green”, as the Lighting Designer.

Word of mouth and recommendations kept Greg in a constant flow of work in his first few years of touring with some of the world's most iconic blues legends, such as "John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers”, “Peter Green" from Fleetwood Mac, as well as artists like “Edgar Winter”, ”Steve Earle”,”Gary Moore" and the 70's glam rock band "The Sweet”.

In 2011 Greg formed his own company. Since then he has worked as a lighting technician, programmer, operator and designer and has toured through the UK, mainland Europe, U.S.A, Australia, Mexico, Canada, South East Asia, Malaysia and even Iceland. There are too many artists to mention in a career that has lasted over twenty years. Highlights include tours with "The Killers”, ”Elbow”, ”James Taylor”, ”Athlete”, ”Biffy Clyro”, ”Feeder”, ”Skunk Anansie”, ”Nero”, ”Enter Shikari”, ”You me at Six”, ”Chvrches”and ”James Morisson”.

Greg continues to push himself to achieve the best shows possible in an exciting industry where competition is fierce and technological advances are rapid. Competition is very welcome and Greg feels this is the key element that keeps the world of lighting constantly evolving.
